Is your boiler Gas Safe registered?

A Gas safe registered boiler confirms that an engineer on the Gas Safe Register has installed it. This provides assurance that the boiler has been safely installed by a professional and competent gas engineer.

It is simple to check if your boiler is registered by visiting the Gas Safe Register website.

Enter your house number and postcode to see if the boiler is on the register. For a small fee, you can order a copy of the register entry certificate to be sent to you by email and post. When selling a home, the buyer’s solicitor may ask to see the Gas Register certificate.

If you find that the boiler is not registered, contact the installer to have the boiler retrospectively registered. If the installation company has gone out of business, or you discover that the boiler was fitted by an unqualified person, don’t worry as this can easily be fixed. Call Xgas who will send a Gas Safe Registered gas engineer to your Chester, Wexham or Oswestry home. They will inspect the boiler and officially register it. If any safety issues are found, they will be fixed before registration.

A boiler that is on the Gas Safe Register gives you the peace of mind of knowing it has been installed and safety checked by a qualified engineer.

If you want a new gas boiler installed, you can ask to see the gas engineer’s Gas Safe Register credentials and check on the Gas Register website that they are genuine.
